Shonen Knifes' success has been legendary - back in the 80's they signed to K records, Subpop and other major labels as well as touring with Nirvana, playing Reading and hosting sell out high capacity shows. 2016 sees the Japanese trio celebrate their 35th anniversary and 20th studio album, Adventure, with their most extensive UK & Ireland tour to date, including an appearance at Stewart Lee’s curated ATP Festival at Prestatin Pontin’s.

I am UBER excited that I am getting the oppertunity to see Shonen Knife live, if you are around on any of the following dates then make it your priority to get down and see them! The Japan Times has just posted a great interview with the band which you can read after watching my favourite track from their 2014 album Overdrive, Like a Cat.
